The sun was hot and the weather had a touch of humidity to it, which was never a good combination when it came to Quinn’s hair. As she took the step out of the door of the bakery a couple of feet away from the infamous comic book store Sam had made a reputation for. Holding her purse in one hand and the bag of sandwiches and cookies she bought for him in the other, she quickly pushed her way through a group of tourists who had stopped to take pictures of the fascinating city. It took a little less than three minutes before she was pushing the door of the comic book shop open with her shoulder and making her way across the slightly smaller building to the counter.

There was only one customer there at the time, which was something Quinn smiled happily at. The less customers there were, the more time she’d be able to spend with Sam. Not that it was even thatimportant to her, of course. Dropping the bag on the counter, a sweet smile slid across Quinn’s lips. “Hey, stranger.” She greeted, placing her elbows on the counter. “Nice shop you got here.”

Mrs. Quinn Timberlake.

It has a rather nice ring to it, doesn’t it? The only criteria I had for the choice of movie for tonight’s movie night was that it had an incredibly good looking male lead, so naturally I chose Friends with Benefits, starring Justin Timberlake. Like every other girl, I had an unhealthy obsession with *NSYNC growing up, and even more so with Justin when he was in the band. This movie definitely rekindled my love for him, and I think it’s safe to say that we’ll be having a June wedding. You’re all invited!!

It was no secret to anyone that Quinn had developed a friendship with Sam faster than she had with Puck. Now that didn’t necessarily mean she disliked Puck, but she did, in fact, come to think of him as a brother of sorts. But, Sam was a completely different story. Almost immediately after she moved all of her things into the apartment, it was as if they clicked. He didn’t make inappropriate jokes every time she had to slide from the bathroom to her room in a towel after a shower, he tried to include her every time he and Puck had decided to go out for a night on the town, and he was even willing to sit through sappy chick flicks with her from time to time. So, it was safe to say that Sam had quickly risen to the very top of her list as far as favorites were.

One of the best things about moving in with Sam and Puck had been the fact that they were both so eager to accept Santana with (somewhat) open arms. Surely, part of it had to be related back to her looks, but that didn’t phase Quinn. Santana had been her support system since she could remember, so there was no way she was going to be friends with people who couldn’t be respectful towards her best friend. On the other hand, there was a thing calledtoo friendly, and Quinn had witnessed it one too many times. She didn’t really mind it when Santana flirted and teased Puck in front of everyone, no, but when it came to Sam, there was a sudden switch in Quinn’s mood. Maybe she was just protective of Sam, but she wasn’t willing to let him be hurt by a girl… Especially not by her best friend.

Either way, Puck was god knows where for the night, and Quinn found herself gearing up for another movie night with her crazy roommate. The night had been a complete disaster (something she didn’t even want to think about right now), but somehow she knew this was bound to make up for it. As soon as she typed out her last response to Sam, she quickly walked over to the kitchen as she wondered what kind of snack she was going to make. Sam had mentioned peanut butter and bacon, but she felt like she at least needed to contribute with something. Thankfully, cookies were something that was virtually impossible to mess up, so chocolate chip cookies were placed in the oven with a few minutes to spare. A quick look in the mirror told Quinn everything she needed to know, and that was makeup. She wasn’t trying to impress Sam, because that would just be plain out f character, but it never hurt to feel good about yourself. Sliding into a pair of jeans and t-shirt, Quinn applied a fresh coat of mascara and let her hair down from the messy bun it was currently tucked into. All she had to do now was sit down on the couch and relax until A) the cookies were done and B) Sam was home.
